The telephone code for Maldives is +960. There are no area codes. Maldives has a highly developed and efficient telephone networks and is one of the most sophisticated in the region. IDD facilities are available on all resorts and card phones are available on all inhabited islands. Dhiraagu, the Maldives Telecommunications Company also provides mobile telephones for daily rental. It is also the Internet service provider. Also, mobile coverage and international roaming facilities are available in most parts of the Maldives, and mobile coverage will be available throughout the Maldives by the end of 2004.
